Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs (1955-2011) co-founded Apple and shaped how personal computing, music, phones, and animation feel to use. Walter Isaacson's biography was the first book that really grabbed me; I still remember the shoebox project I did for it in second grade. The line in the home page footer is from his 2005 Stanford commencement (the same talk that ends with "stay hungry, stay foolish"). It is the one that sat with me after I dropped out: trust your own curiosity and judgment instead of living someone else's script.

Congrats, you found this page. Consider it a small easter egg.

Walter Isaacson’s biography was the first real book I read. I was hooked. I still remember the shoebox diorama I made for it in second grade. I was obsessed with that book. Jobs felt like proof that a single stubborn vision could reshape whole industries. He was one of the greatest founders out there, and honestly it’s a big part of why I wanted to start a company.

When I dropped out, one line from his 2005 Stanford commencement kept ringing in my head:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”

The whole talk is worth watching: three stories about connecting dots, love and loss, and mortality. Below is the full address.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.
